New work commissioned for Angel Court, City of London

We are near to unveiling our new commissions for Angel Court, a new office development designed by Fletcher Priest Architects in the City of London for Stanhope Plc and Mitsui Fudosan. Featuring some of the most exciting artists working today, we are enhancing the cultural capital of the development with a collection of site-specific artworks that complement the contemporary feel of the building and surrounds.

For the North exterior wall and Throgmorton Passage, Sara Barker has developed two major commissions, her first permanent works in London. Addressing the historical context of the area as home to the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers, the works reference textiles and stitching while remaining true to Sara’s renowned way of painting in space.

Inside the main atrium two extraordinary Simon Callery sculptural paintings hold the cathedral-like space and create a landmark identity for the building.
