Contemporary Art Society Consultancy recently hosted the annual Place2Be and Aspen Art Day, which engages school children with the art collection held at their Fenchurch Street offices. Aimed at opening up the collection to local communities, the event involves artist-led workshops, a tour of the art collection, quiz and lunch.
Place2Be is a charity that engages with young people from less privileged backgrounds, using art therapy and hands on activity to provide emotional support. Our programme helps Aspen find ways to create access and engagement with their impressive collection and builds on the success of the Aspen Art Day with Curwen Primary School last year.
Aspen Art Day forms one of numerous education based programmes that CAS Consultancy manages and other projects include an artwork by Ruth Proctor for the new North West Cambridge primary school, designed by Marks Barfield architects.
