*Consultancy is delighted to announce the appointment of Sinta Tantra, who has been commissioned to develop a series of works for the City of London’s newest office tower, 22 Bishopsgate.
Standing at 278m, 22 is set to be the tallest building in the Square Mile, with 62 storeys accommodating 12,000 workers. Wellbeing and craftsmanship are celebrated in the communal spaces of the building, which will feature a fresh food market, retreats and a free public viewing gallery.
A British artist of Balinese decent, Tantra studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and then the Royal Academy Schools. The first recipient of the Bridget Riley Drawing Fellowship at the British School at Rome, Tantra creates site-specific murals and installations in the public realm. Recent commissions include the 2019 Karachi Biennale and Sharjah Islamic Art Festival, Facebook’s London headquarters and Folkestone Triennial.
Tantra has been appointed by AXA IM – Real Assets to deliver work for 22’s Market area. A series of murals is currently in development to be delivered at the beginning of 2021.
