CAS Consultancy is gearing up for the start of the academic year with two new projects for the University of Cambridge and the Royal College of Music.
The team is continuing to work with the University of Cambridge as our Public Art Strategy for the West Cambridge research campus launches with a series of exciting commission opportunities.
The campus will be the setting for public art that animates social spaces as sites for intellectual inspiration and creativity. Interpreting world-leading research and considering the social dynamics of the public realm, artists will have the opportunity to collaborate with researchers to generate ways to communicate science through major public art commissions.
The consultancy team have also been appointed by the Royal College of Music to curate an artist for a major new commission at their South Kensington site. Europe’s leading conservatoire is undertaking a £40m build programme that includes a state-of-the-art museum to house its renowned collection of instruments. Seeking to explore connections between contemporary art and music, the college is commissioning a permanent, public-facing work for the museum entrance and recital space.
Building creative hubs, engaging the creative community and providing the artwork to inspire and encourage creativity.
Placemaking is at the art of what we do learning about the place and providing Great Art for Great Places.
