Biography
Hyam Myer (b. Manchester, UK 1904 - d. London 1978) was of Romanian extraction, and studied at Slade School of Fine Art with Henry Tonks, then in Paris, living in France between the wars. After WW2 he taught at Central and St Martin’s Schools of Art and Royal College of Art. He was a member of The London Group from 1930 and Chelsea Arts Club and exhibited at Lefevre, Goupil and Alpine Club Galleries. Ben Uri Art Society, The Wilson, Cheltenham and Bristol Museum and Art Gallery hold his work.
