Last night’s Contemporary Art Society Annual Fundraising Gala has raised over £213,500 to benefit the charity’s mission to purchase new works of contemporary art for museums across the UK.
The gala, themed KALEIDOSCOPE: Colour in Motion was chosen by the Contemporary Art Society Gala Committee to present an event that reflects energy and exuberance as well as beauty; it is a theme also explored through carnival and fashion as well as design, and as such it lends itself well to celebration.
Over 350 guests attended the charity dinner and auction alongside Honorary Chair Roksanda Ilincic. Other VIP guests included Sir Nicholas Serota, Nicholas Cullinan, Rose Wylie, Phoebe Unwin, Polly Morgan, Richard Wentworth, Mark Wallinger, Roger Hiorns, Jane and Louise Wilson, Matt Collishaw, Amalia Pica, Mark Hix and Valeria Napoleone among others.
