About The Manchester Contemporary is an invitational art fair established to reflect the growth and strength of a UK wide art scene that is constantly evolving, and to meet the appetite of the region’s emerging collector base.
The Manchester Contemporary’s underlying ethos is to present the best in emerging critically engaged contemporary art by artists of regional, national and international repute and to give a platform to commercial and not for profit initiatives that are committed to developing artists’ careers and establishing long-term relationships with audiences and collectors alike. Whilst we seek to maintain the fair’s intimate atmosphere brought about by its intentionally modest scale, future ambitions include setting these artists in a wider international context by attracting additional non UK based exhibitors, audiences and collectors to the fair.
