Doug Cocker (b. Perthshire, Scotland, UK 1945) studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee (1963-68). He taught sculpture at Nene College, Northampton (1972-81), followed by posts at the University of Edinburgh; Glasgow School of Art and Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen. Cocker was a frequent exhibitor, including Glasgow Garden Festival, New Sculpture in Scotland at Crammond Sculpture Centre and abroad. He had many solo shows, including a key one at Third Eye Centre, Glasgow, 1985. Among later exhibitions were Joan Hughson Gallery, Glasgow, 1996.
