Erica Faith Lansley (b. Salford, Lancashire, UK 1961) studied at St Martin’s School of Art (1979-82). She has participated in mixed shows including New Contemporaries, ICA, London (1981); John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, at the Walker Art Gallery (1982-3); The London Group Open, at the Royal College of Art, London (1987); Boundaries, at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery (1995); and Cross Currents, at Reed’s Wharf Gallery, Barbican Centre, London (1996), where she showed paintings done in Ireland. These used an organic or calligraphic figure laid pattern-like across the surface or selectively obscured by a simplifying veil or screen.
