Jim Partridge (1953)

Biography

Jim Partridge (b. Leeds, UK 1953) is a sculptor and craftsman in wood, who moved to London in 1960. He studied at Oxford Polytechnic (1972-3) and moved to Wiltshire in 1974. Partridge attended the John Makepeace School for Craftsmen in Wood in Parnham (1977–9) and set up his own workshop in Wiltshire from 1979. He started to collaborate with his partner Liz Walmsley in 1983 and they have mostly llved in Shropshire making wooden sculptural bowls, seats, benches and bridges.
