Biography
Khairi Badran (b. Nablus, Palestine 1912 - d. ?) studied in Cairo before following his brother Jamal Badran (b. Haifa, Israel), who had graduated from the Central School of Arts and Crafts in 1937, to London. Khairi continued his education in textiles and lithography there for another year before they, with another brother, Abdel Razzaq (Abd al-Raziq) Badran, who had studied stained glass and photography, opened a studio workshop to encourage the modern development of traditional arts and crafts in Jerusalem in 1945. Both Jamal and Khairi had been inspired by the British Arts and Crafts movement.
