Biography
Martin Lubner (b. Bronx, New York, USA 1929 -d. Los Angeles 2016) was an expressionist painter who studied at UCLA (1950-53). His work was shown in galleries internationally and has been included in the permanent collections of many museums including MOCA, LACMA and the Tate. Lubner dedicated his life to painting and teaching. He was on faculty at UCLA and the Royal College of Art, London. He also ran a private teaching studio for sixty-two years. Lubner's unique curriculum involved art historical lectures, technique and criticism.
