Biography
Martin Rogers (b. Croydon, Surrey, UK 1952 - d. 2013) was a printer, carpenter, sculptor and publisher who studied at the Bath Academy of Art at Corsham Court, Wiltshire and Brighton College of Art. He exhbited at Coracle |Gallery in South London from 1976; Victoria Mirion from 1986. He also ran the Research Group for Artist Publications, facilitating publications for visual artists and, in 2001, set up the Small Publishers Fair in London, initially at the Royal Festival Hall and for 10 years at the Conway Hall which became an international event. Rogers promoted the work of artists who produced books, like the exhibition of the work of Sol LeWitt at Site Gallery, Sheffield (2010) and in 2012, he brought the Bolivian-born concrete poet, Eugen Gomringer (b. 1925) to Britain.
