Biography
Paul Matthews (b. Princeton, New Jersey, USA 1933 - d. Hamilton, New Jersey, USA 2019) studied at Cooper Union Art School, New York (1957-60). He had his first solo exhbition at Zabriskie Gallery, New York (1964 and 1966) and several others in the USA throughout his career. He was based in Lambertville, New Jersey. He was one of four sons of Thomas Stanley Matthews (1901-1991), editor of Time magazine (1949-53) and his first wife, Juliana Stevens Cuyler.
