Biography
Peter Barrington Meyer (b. London 1920 - d. Oxford 2007), one time Director of Meyer International Timber Merchants PLC, London, was a Contemporary Art Society Committee Member (1953-66, 1967-73) and its elected buyer in 1957 and 1965/66, becoming Chairman of the CAS between 1971-76. His collection sale was held at Christie's, London, 6 June 2008. Andrina Colquhoun, Mrs Waddington, was his step-daughter.
