

Richard Francis (b. 1947) studied at the University of Cambridge and the Courtauld Insitute of Art, London. He was an Associate Curator (Modern) of the Tate Gallery in London (1980-92) as well as the founding curator of the Tate Gallery in Liverpool; James W. Alsdorf Chief Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Chicago (1993-97) and a buyer for the Contemporary Art Society in 1992.
