Biography
Simon Moore (b. UK 1959) began his own glass workshop practice in 1982 when he joined the highly influential Glasshouse in Covent Garden, London. He first set up his own workshop in 1989, having previously co-founded ‘Glassworks’ as a means to further develop a range of domestic ware building on his apprenticeship with Ronnie Wilkinson, of Whitefriars. He has held directorships at Salviati in Murano, Italy and Dartington Crystal in Devon and has had roles for commercial companies such as Bombay Sapphire and Nicole Farhi.
Moore has also taught at the Royal College of Art since 1988. His work is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, Guildford House Gallery and Broadfield House Glass Museum (Dudley Museums and Art Galleries), Kingswinford.
