Biography
Tara Coomber (b. UK 1975) completed a National Diploma in General Art & Design at the Kent Institute of General Art & Design. She then went on to study her BA (Hons) in Jewellery and Silversmithing at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, graduating in 1998. Over the years she has won numerous awards including a grant from the Goldsmiths’ company and the Assay Office Prize from the British Jewellery Association. Some of her commissions include the Ashmolean Museum Millennium Silver Commission, Prof. B.S. Rabinovitch Cheeky Eel fish slice and Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery Centrepiece (2002).
