Biography
Zoe Benbow (b. UK 1963) studied at Berkshire College of Art and Design (1981-82); Ravensbourne College of Art and Design (1982-85) and Royal College of Art, London (1987-89). She was awarded a studio residency in London from Delfina Studio Trust in 1989 followed by a residency from them in Andalucia, Spain (1991) amongst others in Switzerland; Ireland; Adelaide, Australia; Finland and most recently at the British–Kazahk Society, Almaty, Kazakhstan (2015). She is is a studio-based independent artist livinh in Hachney, East London and is also an art educator, focussing on those with special needs. She has held solo shows at Christopher Hull Gallery, London (1995 & 1997); Sentier Sauvage, ANPQ Foundation, 34800 Peret, France (2009); Hay Hill Gallery, London (2010, 2012 & 2015) and most recently participated in a VJB Arts Project: Forest Walk – 60 Threadneedle Street EC2 (2021).
