Jesse Wine’s spectacular ceramic frieze has been installed in the atrium of Princes House on Piccadilly, London. The artwork takes inspiration from the history of the building as home to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Sketched in intense blue pigment on white glazed ceramic tiles, the artwork captures architectural fragments of the historical facade of Princes House. Overlaying the tiles and giving a sculptural form to the piece is the hand-formed foliage, which drapes over the piece, bringing new life to the building.
