Biography
Simon Cutts founded Coracle Press, as a small publishing company, in South London in 1975. There was a printing studio in the basement and a shop front onto the street which was used to exhibit emerging artists. As well as printing and publishing, Coracle runs a gallery space and a bookshop. Coracle has published hundreds of printed items, including books, cards and ephemera. The library at Tate holds over 150 Coracle works by Cutts and many other artists including Erica Van Horn, Colin Sackett, Thomas A. Clark, Les Coleman, Stephen Duncalf, Andy Goldsworthy, Susan Howe, Richard Long and Stuart Mills.
