Biography
Dr Maxine Brisrow (b. Bolton, Lancashire, UK 1962) trained at Bolton College of Art and Manchester Polytecnic in textiles - specialising in embroidery (1984-85). She completed a doctorate at Norwich University of the Arts and University of the Arts London (2016). She was selected for the Jerwood Textiles Prize in 2002, and in 2008 was one of the artists nominated for the Northern Arts Prize. She teaches fine art at the University of Chester.
