Biography
Stepehn Prince (b. Essex, UK 1952) studied art at the Central School of Art, London. He first discovered Cornwall, on a camping trip during student days, he has been living and working in Cornwall since 2006, first in nearby St Just in Penwith, and then in Penzance. His paintings were inpsired by David Haughton, Alexander Mackenzie, Roger Hilton and Peter Lanyon. His work is largely abstract and he has exhibited widely in the UK and locally at the Salt House Gallery, St Ives, the Great Atlantic Gallery, St Just and the St Ives Arts Club. He has also painted and exhibited as part of the group of abstract artists calling themselves the Group of 7.
