Francisca Onumah (b. Accra, Ghana 1992) grew up in Kent and graduated from the School of Jewellery, Birmingham City University (2015). She is a metalsmith and jeweller who, since 2017, has been based in Sheffield with her studio at the Yorkshire Artspace, Persistence Works Studios. She works with sheet metal and mark marking techniques; a lot of her influences come from a love of textiles, particularly African batik fabric. Onumah's work Murmur featured in Radical Acts: Why Craft Matters at the Harewood House Biennial, 2022. She was also one of five makers selected for the Jerwood Art Fund Makers Open in 2022.
