Biography
Petronilla Spencer Silver (b. 1954) began her career in the world of contemporary art working in London’s Cork Street. Silver was Director of the Contemporary Art Society (1982-1993) and its elected buyer in 1992. She advised museums and major corporations on their acquisition policy. She married the German Cornwall-based artist Karl Martin Weschke (1925-2005) in 2003 and ran the Wills Lane Gallery in St Ives. Now based in Battersea, London, Silver specialises in exhibiting contemporary fine and applied art in all media.
