Physical Object Description:

Village during winter. This is an unelaborated, dark, wintry scene of a village of thatched-roof, white cottages. There is a road in the right foreground which leads the viewer into the village. There is a steam to right of the road with small white arched bridge over it. Dark leafless trees, and desolate hills reach upwards into the gloomy sky. Signed, bottom left corner: Bissill
