Biography
Grabowski Gallery, London operated between 1959 and 1975. It was the art gallery of a Polish pharmacist, Mateusz Bronislaw Grabowski (1904-1976), who had arrived in Britain as a member of the Polish Army in 1940. He was an early champion of Pop Art, exhibiting many of the forerunners of this work at his gallery. It was located at 84 Sloane Avenue, Chelsea, London SW3.
